Αpplication of attract-and-kill method

At the end of August, the application of attract-and-kill method was performed using innovative attractants in SPLAT form and modified traps, carrying biological insecticides (e.g., spinosad), in experimental plots in the pilot field of the Ktima Gerovassiliou and monitoring of populations with traps.  

Trap placement with apple vinegar and other

Dr Apostolos Kapranas, Assistant Professor and Dr Anastasia Kokkari (AUTH) in collaboration with the agronomists in the pilot field of Ktima Gerovassiliou placed traps with apple vinegar and other traditional and experimental attractants in different varieties (about 2 per variety, 24 traps) to monitor populations of D. suzukii during the current growing season.
